DIY Kids Christmas Photos


Photographers are so busy in the fall into the holidays that I did not end up doing any Christmas photos for myself. I guess that is why I should hire someone! LOL These are some quick DYI kids Christmas photos that I through together with the wreath that was literally hanging on my door.

To achieve this look I hung a wreath from what is technically a firewood holder and placed some distance between the wreath and my subject. You could use anything to hang the wreath, even someone holding it. I also added extra fairy lights to wreath . I shot my 85mm f/1.2 with the settings 1/200, f/1.8, ISO 400. I also used a strobe set off to camera right at 1/16th power. The flash isn't needed if I turned this setup toward the window light better!
